Oil wax is a mixture of natural wax and high-quality mineral oil. It is designed for regular and periodic maintenance of any wooden surfaces.
Wax oil is a mixture of natural wax and high-quality mineral oil. It is designed for regular and periodic care of any wooden surfaces.
The treated surface acquires increased protection against moisture, vapour permeability and a faint honey aroma.
Application: The surface to be treated must be clean and dry. Remove any substances that prevent the oil wax from being absorbed (dirt, grease, old coatings, etc.). Apply the oil wax with a clean cotton or wool cloth. Stir the oil wax before use.
After application, allow the oil wax to soak into the wood and rub any residue thoroughly into the wood grain. Remove any residue with a paper towel or cloth.
Consumption: Consumption depends on the type of surface being treated and its absorbency, averaging 15-20 m²/1 litre.
Drying time: Depending on the ambient temperature and the absorbency of the wood, on average 24-48 hours, complete drying takes approximately 2-3 weeks.
Safety: Caution! The oil may only be used for treating and protecting wood materials; it must not be used as a food product!
Storage: In the original packaging and in warm storage rooms. Protect from freezing!

STAFOR wax oil is a natural, durable and versatile protective agent that works well not only on wood but also on epoxy resin surfaces. Its properties — a combination of oil and wax that forms a protective layer — make it very suitable for the care of epoxy coatings.
Why STAFOR oil wax is ideal for epoxy surfaces
- Hydrophobic protection — wax forms a water- and dirt-repellent layer that helps keep the epoxy resin surface clean and shiny.
- Hiding micro-scratches — the wax layer evens out minor scratches and reduces their visibility, which is especially important for shiny epoxy surfaces.
- Natural shine and depth — the oil component gives the epoxy resin a silky, visually appealing shine without making it cloudy.
- Chemical safety — the natural composition does not contain aggressive substances that can react with epoxy or cause stains.
- Easy maintenance — the surface can be regularly refreshed by applying a thin layer and polishing it lightly.
How wax behaves on epoxy
Epoxy is a non-porous material, so the wax does not absorb deeply, but forms a protective film on the surface. This provides:
- a smoother feel to the touch,
- less friction and wear,
- longer-lasting shine,
- easier daily cleaning.
This combination is especially valuable for epoxy tables, decorative elements, and surfaces that are used frequently.
How to properly apply STAFOR wax oil to epoxy
- Apply a very thin layer with a soft cloth.
- Allow it to soak in and evenly coat the surface.
- After 10–15 minutes, polish to an even shine.
If necessary, repeat after a few hours for a more intense effect.
