An antiseptic primer for wooden surfaces, containing natural linseed oil. Designed for the decorative and antiseptic treatment of various wooden structures: log buildings, wooden houses, saunas, verandas, wooden cladding, etc., both as a topcoat and as a primer prior to further decorative finishing. It protects the wood from moisture, rot and mould. The primer is easily absorbed into the wood and dries in 2–4 hours. After priming, the wooden surface can be painted, varnished or left untreated; the primer provides long-lasting protection for the wood. The primer highlights the natural grain of the wood whilst preserving its natural colour. It can be used for both interior and exterior applications.
This linseed oil-based primer can serve as a topcoat or prepare the surface for further treatment.
Coverage: 4–7 m²/l.
Application: Surfaces to be primed must be clean and dry. Apply the primer with a brush or spray. Highly absorbent surfaces must be primed twice.
Storage: The primer can be stored in its original packaging in closed storage areas — see labelling.
Composition: Natural linseed oil, rosin, alcohol, special additives
‘GUĻBŪVE’ primer consists exclusively of environmentally friendly products of natural origin — linseed oil, pine turpentine and natural resins — which blend perfectly with wood, emphasising and complementing the superb properties of natural timber.
Wood treated with ‘GUĻBŪVE’ primer retains its natural colour, whilst the primer highlights the texture of each type of wood and its exceptionally beautiful colour. The primer penetrates deeply into the wood, protecting it from moisture and dirt and forming a waterproof layer. The primer has an antiseptic effect; wood treated with it is protected from the harmful effects of rot fungi and blue stain. At the same time, the primer prepares the wood surface for further treatment, such as application of tinted glazes or painting. However, wooden structures treated with ‘GUĻBŪVE’ primer can be used for a long time without further treatment (for example, log buildings).
The primer is used for treating log buildings both externally and internally, as well as for treating doors and windows, garden furniture, saunas, garden sheds and other wooden structures and items. The primer is suitable for application to both old and new surfaces made of oak, pine, spruce, beech, teak, mahogany and other types of wood. The wooden surface to be treated must be dry, with a maximum wood moisture content of 15% and air humidity of 80%. Old wooden surfaces must be cleaned of varnish, paint and other substances.
