CORROSTOP rust converter

Used to treat rusty metal surfaces before priming and painting. Before applying the rust converter, the metal surface must be cleaned of loose rust; the rust layer thickness must not exceed 100 microns. Oily surfaces must be degreased with a solvent and cleaned of contaminants. The rust converter is applied to the prepared surface with a brush, roller or sprayer. If the rust layer is thicker, the converter is applied again after 4-5 hours. If the surface or air temperature exceeds +25ºC, the layer of rust converter applied to the metal surface is moistened with water every 2-3 hours to prolong the action of the converter. When reacting with rust, the converter forms a bluish-brown layer on the metal surface that is resistant to corrosion. After treatment, the surface can be primed or painted no earlier than 24 hours later. Before priming, it is recommended to rinse with water and dry. Work at a temperature not lower than +5ºC.
