Linseed oil for wood

A specially formulated linseed oil for treating wood, offering improved absorption and antibacterial properties. The linseed oil is absorbed into the wood, protecting it from moisture and wear whilst highlighting the wood’s grain and knots, giving the surface a slightly matt finish. Applications for linseed oil: log buildings, wooden furniture, floors, various wooden items, panelling, yacht and boat decks. Linseed oil can be used for both interior and exterior applications. Linseed oil can be tinted using colour pigments.

Surface preparation: The wooden surface to be treated must be dry (wood moisture content up to 15%), with air humidity up to 80%. Remove varnish, paint and other substances from old wooden surfaces. Clean the surface by sanding.

Application: Apply with a brush or pad and allow the oil to soak in. Remove any excess oil from the wood surface and reapply. Depending on the quality of the wood surface and the intended use, apply 1–4 coats. Pay particular attention to coating the ends of boards and logs. The finished oiled wood surface can be coated with wax suitable for wood.

Coverage: 7–10 m²/l for smooth wooden surfaces.

Drying time: When applied in a thin coat at 20°C — 24 hours.

Cleaning: Clean tools with spirit, warm water and soap.

Storage: Store in a cool place. Shelf life in sealed container — see label.

Safety: The product is not flammable. Oil-soaked rags may ignite before disposal.
