LOG CHINK grained sealant grey

A textured sealant with an authentic finish – a traditional mixture for filling joints in log structures. Designed to seal joints and gaps between logs in log buildings and connections in timber structures. The sealant blends perfectly with wooden surfaces, offering high elasticity and good adhesion to wood. It retains its elasticity at low temperatures, ensuring the building remains airtight in both summer and winter. Log Chink significantly reduces heat loss from the building and protects the structure from moisture and rain. It is UV-resistant and allows the wood to ‘breathe’. Suitable for both interior and exterior use.

An environmentally friendly material based on linseed oil, it contains no organic solvents. Once dry, the sealant can be painted with any type of paint.

Application: The sealant is applied to a dry and clean wooden surface using a special gun or trowel. After filling the joint with sealant, it is smoothed with a trowel dipped in soapy water. It is not recommended to work with the sealant in direct sunlight, at temperatures below +5 °C, in the rain, or to apply the sealant to surfaces covered with film-forming coatings.

Coverage and drying time: 225 m/10 l for a joint width of up to 1 cm. Coverage depends on the application method, joint width and depth. Under normal conditions (+20°C), a water-resistant layer forms on the sealant’s surface within 4–6 hours; complete drying takes 24 hours. Rinse tools with water.

Composition: linseed oil, acrylic dispersion, fillers, pigments and special additives.
