LOG GUARD wood protection before applying linseed oil

LOG GUARD is one of the newest and most effective wood protection products in the world. It protects wood from harmful environmental influences, both indoors and outdoors. The product contains a special salt compound which, once dissolved in water, is deeply absorbed into the wood and protects it. LOG GUARD is recommended for application to existing damaged or new wooden surfaces prior to treatment with products containing linseed oil. Once linseed oil has been applied, it will retain the salts within the wood, preventing rain from washing them away. The product is odourless and colourless, absorbs quickly into the wood, does not alter the wood’s appearance, and is convenient and safe to use.

Application: Dissolve the concentrate in 15 litres of water, mix well and apply to clean wood using a brush or sprayer at least three times, or by immersing the wood in the solution for 2 to 12 hours. During application, the air temperature should be between +5°C and +32°C. Once the product has dried, the treated wood is environmentally and hygienically safe and effectively protected. Treated wooden building components and the building itself will be protected from harmful environmental influences throughout their service life.

Drying time: The wood surface treated with this product is ready for oiling with linseed oil or painting with linseed paint after 1–3 days.

Coverage: Depending on the type of wood, 1 litre covers 3–5 m².

Safety precautions: When working with this wood preservative, work should be carried out outdoors or in well-ventilated areas, wearing rubber gloves and safety goggles.
