APPLICATION: The sealant is applied using a special gun or trowel to the dry and clean surface of the log joints. Before drying, the surface of the sealant is smoothed with a trowel dipped in soapy water, creating a smooth finish and the required joint profile. Before sealing, it is advisable to prime the wooden surface with ‘Guļbūve’ linseed oil primer. Under normal conditions, the sealant forms a waterproof film on the surface within 4–6 hours and dries completely within 24 hours. Sealing is not recommended at temperatures below 5 °C or during rain.
When treating a house with ‘Guļbūve’ sealant, heat loss can be reduced several times over. It is recommended to apply ‘Guļbūve’ to both the interior and exterior surfaces.
