A refractometer is an optical device designed to measure the refractive index. The refractometer has five easy-to-read scales. It is suitable for use in the field to determine the concentration of STATERM, ADBLUE and windscreen washer fluid.
The principle of operation of a refractometer is based on the following: when the concentration or density changes, the refractive index of light changes proportionally. The angle of refraction of light is displayed on the scale. The higher the concentration of the heat transfer fluid, the higher the reading recorded on the scale.
Scales:
- STATERM – ethylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid for heating systems.
- STATERM EKO – propylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid.
- STATERM S – special heat transfer fluid for external heat pump circuits.
- ADBLUE – exhaust gas cleaning fluid.
- Window cleaning fluid.
